Household doesPosted by Household 09 Jul, 2010 12:10PM We have uploaded photos from the workshops from our latest project Service, a skills exchange platform held during the London Festival of Architecture 2010 at Highstreet 2012 in collaboration with The Architecture Foundation and supported by Newham council.
We have just started blogging for Artrebels. ArtRebels is a creative business, a movement and a network for artists,
musicians, designers, film makers, cultural activists, web designers,
event makers and other creative souls.
Have a read about Jordi Ferreiro, he is a very interesting guy based in Barcelona with a practice that focuses on the values of
collaborative work.
Service will be a temporary skills exchange platform
in a vacant retail unit in Stratford. Learn how to mend your damaged
domestic goods - from un-bound books to wonky chairs - in expert and
designer workshops, or collaborate on local projects including
personalised map-making.
Architectural Pentathlon Design and construct architecture for your head, then test it for
strength, style and general wobblyness by taking part in our pentathlon
competition. Will you be ahead of the game?

Household is a design collective set up in 2008 by George Wu and Sarah Gottlieb. Both met whilst studying at the Royal College of Art. In 2009 Dario Utreras joined the collective. Household has a strong focus on interchanging skills through collaboration They work with Film, Graphic design, Installations, Photography, Objects, and everything in between.
